Tyler Marcotte

Chippewa Content Creator

Tyler Marcotte is a junior at Central Michigan University, and serves as the Director of Video and Media Content, and primary Color Commentator for CMU Hockey. A long-time former hockey player, and Captain of the back-to-back State Finalist Northville Prep Hockey team, he has since hung up the skates in favor of creating content above the ice and along the boards. Marcotte works for the Chippewa Sports Network, an ESPN3 subsidary, as a Cameraman, and has worked in the past with Sports Central at Central Michigan University.

Marcotte is responsible for most all videos posted by the Chippewa Hockey Network, working tirelessly to create graphics and animations for highlight packages and Puck Drop Previews, alongside editing the highlight videos and full games.

He started off his broadcasting career as the lead of the Sports Department for the Northville High School Broadcasting Program. He has also worked alongside his father for many professional and college hockey events, including the 2014 Winter Classic in Detroit, Michigan between the Detroit Red Wings and the Toronto Maple Leafs. This is Tyler’s third year with CMU Hockey, working closely with the CMU D-II Team his freshman year as a member of Sports Central, and helping co-found the Chippewa Hockey Network his Sophomore Year.

In the offseason, Marcotte worked for the Lansing Lugnuts Class-A Minor League Baseball team as a production assistant, content creator, and cameraman.
